OGOW health awarded top idea in gates health & Ideo’s?

OGOW is pleased to announce that the company’s innovation has been selected as a Top Five Idea in the Immunization Innovation Challenge by OpenIDEO. A provider of electronic medical record (EMR) solutions in Somalia, OGOW operates with a vision to implement electronic solutions that will monitor trends and find disparities in both rural-urban settings across Somalia. Throughout the majority of hospitals in Somalia, medical record keeping is still almost non-existent. The medical practitioners throughout the country are desperately in need of efficient systems to monitor diagnoses, treatments, and trends. This is exactly what OGOW is looking to accomplish. OGOW EMR is designed to make use of digital solutions to improve the quality of health and wellbeing of all.

OpenIDEO is a global open innovation platform that builds collaborative communities to address pressing social and environmental issues. Through their online Challenges, offline Chapters and targeted programs, they enable innovators anywhere to apply design thinking towards generating social impact. The Immunization Innovation Challenge by OpenIDEO was conducted in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to uncover ways to empower caregivers to fully utilize immunization services in their communities.
