Press Release
Ogow Health expands toolkits to improve essential nutrition services through digitizing the wasting registry in Puntland and South-Central Somalia.
In collaboration with UNICEF and health authorities, the nutrition supply chain and Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) registry have been digitized. This initiative enhances the monitoring and tracking of nutrition supplies, ensuring timely delivery, reducing stockouts, and improving data management with accurate, accessible records. These advancements are directly improving child nutrition and development, ensuring children reach their full potential. The enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of nutrition services also streamline resource management across Puntland, Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Southwest, and the Banadir region, contributing to better health outcomes for children across Somalia.
Through this effort, child nutrition and development are prioritized, ensuring children in underserved communities reach their full potential. Ogow Health’s digital solutions have supported the rollout of these programs, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Through this collaboration, 1,240 health workers have been trained to improve child nutrition and development. By strengthening health systems and expanding access to essential nutrition programs, this initiative is driving better health outcomes and fostering a more equitable future for vulnerable communities across Somalia.
